Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 21, 2026 (updated for analytics, session recording and online booking)

This Privacy Policy explains how Jeremy Redlinger SEO (“I,” “me,” or “my”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit jeremyredlingerseo.com (the “Site”), fill out a form, or contact me. I’m an independent SEO consultant based in Elk River, Minnesota. I keep data collection to what I actually need to respond to you and run the Site.

Information I collect

Information you give me

When you use a form on the Site, you choose what to share. Depending on the form, that may include:

  • Contact / consultation form: first and last name, email address, phone number, business name, website URL, industry, the services you’re interested in, and anything you write about your goals.
  • Free AI Visibility Scan: business name, business website, town and main service. Optionally, your first name and email address if you ask for a copy of your report.
  • Email, phone and text: if you contact me directly, I receive whatever you include in your message, along with your email address or phone number.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the Site’s hosting server automatically records basic technical information when pages are requested, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the page you visited, the referring page, and the date and time. These server logs are used for security, troubleshooting and keeping the Site running.

Analytics and session recording. The Site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use it: pages viewed, time on the Site, approximate location (city level), device and browser, how you arrived (for example, from Google or a link), and whether you take actions such as submitting the contact form, booking a call, tapping the phone number or emailing a scan report. The Site also uses Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors interact with pages (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement) to create heatmaps and anonymized session replays that help me improve the Site. Clarity is configured to mask what you type into forms. I don’t send your name or email address to either tool. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, and you can block both tools with your browser’s privacy settings or a content blocker.

How I use your information

  • To respond to your inquiry and schedule a consultation.
  • To run your free AI Visibility Scan and, if you ask, email you a link to the report.
  • To provide services if you become a client, including communication, reporting and invoicing.
  • To follow up about your request. I don’t add you to a marketing newsletter without your permission.
  • To operate, secure and improve the Site.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

About the free AI Visibility Scan

The scan runs automatically. When you start a scan, the Site sends your business name, website, town and main service to DataForSEO, which relays the questions to AI platforms such as OpenAI (ChatGPT), Google (Gemini) and Perplexity, with web search on, and returns their answers for analysis. Your personal name and email address are never sent to these services. These providers process queries under their own privacy policies.

Each scan and its results are saved on the Site so the report can be viewed again through its private link and so I can see which businesses use the tool. To prevent abuse, the Site keeps a temporary, anonymized (hashed) record of your IP address for 24 hours to enforce scan limits. If you ask to have your report emailed, your email address is saved with the scan and I receive a notification.

How your information is stored and shared

I do not sell your personal information, and I don’t share it with third parties for their own marketing. Information is shared only with service providers that help run the Site and my business, and only as needed:

  • Website hosting: the Site is hosted by A2 Hosting (Hosting.com). Form submissions, booking requests and scan reports are stored in the Site’s WordPress database.
  • Email (Google Workspace): my business email is hosted by Google Workspace. Contact form messages, booking details and scan notifications are emailed there, and confirmation emails are sent from it. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Google Fonts: the Site loads fonts from Google’s servers, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google when a page loads. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • DataForSEO and AI platforms: as described above for the AI Visibility Scan (business information only).
  • Google Calendar and Google Meet (online booking): when you book a call, the name, email, phone, business, website and notes you enter are saved as an event in my Google Calendar (Google Workspace) so I can hold the time, and a Google Meet video link is created for the call. A copy of the booking is kept in the Site’s database so I can manage it, and you can cancel using the link in your confirmation email.
  • Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity: as described above. See Google’s Privacy Policy and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
  • Legal requirements: I may disclose information if required by law, or to protect my rights, my clients or the public.

Cookies

The Site does not use advertising cookies. It does use analytics cookies set by Google Analytics (such as _ga) and Microsoft Clarity (such as _clck and _clsk) to tell visits apart and measure how the Site is used. WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to the Site’s admin area. If you run the free AI Visibility Scan, your browser remembers your latest report for 30 days using local storage (not a cookie) so you can come back to it; clearing your browser data removes it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

How long I keep information

I keep form submissions and emails for as long as needed to respond to you and, if you become a client, for the length of our working relationship plus a reasonable period for records, taxes and legal purposes. Inquiries that don’t lead to working together are deleted periodically. Server logs are kept for a limited time by my hosting provider.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me to:

  • tell you what personal information I have about you,
  • correct information that’s inaccurate,
  • delete your information, or
  • stop contacting you.

Email jeremy@jeremyredlingerseo.com with your request and I’ll respond within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, and I’ll honor those that apply.

Security

The Site uses HTTPS encryption, and I take reasonable steps to protect the information you share. No website or email system is completely secure, so please don’t send sensitive information like passwords or payment details through the Site’s forms.

Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 13. I don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact me and I’ll delete it.

Links to other websites

The Site may link to other websites. I’m not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please review their policies.

Changes to this policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
